Description
An extremely rare original 1969 Apple Records single of "King of Fuh" by the American singer and songwriter Brute Force The single is a sought-after rarity among collectors because it was largely unissued for general release and distribution. The song, which tells the story of a mythical king and features lyrics with a phonetic pun ("Fuh King" / "Fucking"), was championed by John Lennon and George Harrison, who arranged for an eleven-piece string section from the London Philharmonic Orchestra to be overdubbed onto the track. EMI and Capitol Records, the major distributors for Apple Records, refused to press or distribute the single due to the perceived risque nature of the lyrics. As a result, only an estimated 1,000 to 3,000 copies were privately pressed and distributed through limited mail-order channels, making original copies extremely rare today.
