Description
I have up for auction a great jazz Album Set of 4 records (78s) on the black and gold Brunswick Collectors' Series label. It is Set No.B-1001 by Red Nichols and His Five Pennies. Great jazz group of the later 20s, early 30s including so many jazz notables; Benny Goodman, Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Jack Teagarden and others. It is entitled "Red Nichols Classics"-Volume One. The records include:
1. #8004, "China Boy" and "Peg O' My Heart".
2. #8005, "The Sheik Of Araby"-Vocal by Jack Teagarden and "Shim-Me-Sha-Wabble" (Second Master).
3. #8006, "Indiana" (Second Master) and "Dinah".
4. #8007, "Tea For Two" and "I Want To Be Happy".
The Set is from new old stock all basically like new. The records are in excellent to E+ condition, no wear and any scuffs or scratches are very few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still quite shiny and clean! Cover and inside sleeves in excellent condition as well. Nice plush red cover and also has the original 6 page foldover typed paper booklet with descriptions.
