Here, with Neville Mariner and his Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Alfred Brendel delivers 13 of the Viennese Piano Concertos of Mozart, with an affinity, most have proclaimed, quite remarkable. (Of his work here, GRAMOPHONE said, it will become one of the major achievements in the history of recordings.)
Released in 1979, the 8LP box comes with a full catalog of Philips offerings and a booklet describing the entire production of the music here. Textured box is crisp with but a slight “bashing” of the top seam (see photo). Within, are the previously mentioned materials, all without fault, like new; plus 8LPs that are clean as can be. Near mint in playback, perhaps better.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
