Description

From 1969 on the UK Decca record label comes this stunning demo 45 by Bread And Beer Band entitled "Dick Barton Theme (The Devil's Gallop) / Breakdown Blues" (F 12891). This is the first pressing. Housed in a company paper sleeve. Record in excellent++ condition with clean labels and a lovely sheen. Post and packing in the UK is £2.25. I sell worldwide.

This is just one of many rare and obscure records (mainly demos) from the late 60s/early 70s that I will be auctioning this week. Formerly the property of a record plugger. Most are in excellent condition or better, a lot unplayed.

Primarily of interest because Reg Dwight (Elton John) was in this band, just one copy of their album was pressed. This consists entirely of cover versions, with all except a cover of The Box Tops' The Letter being instrumentals. Breakdown Blues, a pleasant number, on which Caleb Quaye's guitar work and Reg Dwight's piano playing were very evident.

Rolfo and Lennot were Jamaican percussionists.
