Description
I worked in a specialist classical CD shop for several years and a customer kindly left me his vinyl collection. I've had it sitting around not being played for 8 years now and have decided to try and sell some of the discs. However. we only sold CDs in the shop so my knowledge of the grading system of Vinyl is negligible and I thought I would just try and be honest about the look, condition and sound of these records.
The collector who left these to me must have been a reviewer of some description as many of the records, especially those from RCA, have been stamped with 'review copy' or 'for promotional purposes only'. They are all in excellent condition, with some unopened records amongst them.
This Mercury Living Record of Brahms Concerto with Szigeti is in excellent condition. I have listened to the whole record and there are no notable clicks or pops on playing. The disc looks virtually new and the sleeve is original. The cardboard outer is showing some signs of storage with some fraying on the corners, but overall the whole disc is in excellent condition.
