Boudewijn de Groot Nacht en Ontij (Night is Late) (Unboxed Decca) 1969 Original Dutch pressing Where do I begin ? Really, I have never heard anything like Nacht en Ontij (despite 30 years in the music business and frequent visits to the Netherlands) Dhr.de Groot has a voice and phasing much like Jacques Brel. The music is a intoxicating blend of Psychedelic, Experimetal and Spoken Word, beautifully orchestrated. Although this LP DOES NOT sound like Pink Floyd, I can favorably compare Nacht en Ontij with Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother on Ummaguma in scope and ambition. Gatefold VG++/VG++....The Happy Camper
