PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
If you're reading this you already know how rare this privately pressed funk/soul holy grail is. Only 500 were made on the Kingdom Of Chad label (who managed just this single LP in their nanosecond of a lifespan) right here in Chicago back in 1973 and far fewer survive today. Most of the copies that did survive are in poor condition. I can remember reading about this LP in Record Collector magazine many years ago in an article on the rarest funk records on the planet and my curiosity being piqued. Imagine my shock when this copy turned up in a jaw-dropping collection I purchased recently. As badly as I want to keep it for my own collection, I already bought the Numero reissue so some lucky collector will have the chance to own this original. These RARELY come up for sale so don't sleep funk and soul collectors. LP is VG- visually only with a few small scratches that can be lightly felt but plays fantastically. Cover is VG with no splits, no seams and a bit of ring.

NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
