Description

ULTRA RARE - NO COMMERCIAL CD RELEASE
THE CHARM AND FINESSE OF VINYL CAPTURED ON CD
The Brief To produce clean high quality audio files from a vinyl LP that has been sensitively restored using professional studio quality software then burned onto CD.
The Process After sourcing the disc it is cleansed on the Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaner.
Transfer of programme content at 24-bit 96kHz resolution using a state of the art analogue to digital converter for maximum quality to a Mac using a Rega Planar 1 turntable.
Assessment and analysis of music file utilising studio quality iZotope RX 7 Standard software.
Sensitive reduction of surface noise and removal of undesirable elements such as clicks, crackle, rumble and other various artefacts related to the pressing process. Retention of existing detail being of paramount importance. Each track then painstakingly headphone checked in real time to further reduce or eliminate remaining undesirable elements where possible.
Tracks burned to music CD.
You are buying PRIMARILY a vinyl LP with a transfer in high resolution which has undergone restoration then burned to cd as a backup copy to the vinyl disc.
The Project and outcome

Recorded in 1980 for Boosey & Hawkes for their library album series of recordings for the purpose of use in Film, Radio and Television - as such library albums were strictly not available to the general public.

Behind the pseudonyms of T. Jackson and C. Bold were Tony Duhig and Jon Field - the members of Jade Warrior. The pressing is quite noisy (not due to wear) but careful restoration has given it back a new lease of life. Without access to the original tapes this is as good as it gets after 40 years!

Tracks

See photo of reverse cover to see the titles and mood classifications of the various tracks.

This 24-bit 96kHz transfer encompasses all the dynamism, power, depth and subtleties of the original vinyl. So keep your vinyl safe and enjoy the experience from the cd, or for the best experience consider the hi-res download if you are capable of playing high resolution 24-bit files.

The Offer The original signed (dedicated) vinyl LP in good condition. Tony Duhig who sadly passed away in 1990 was personally known to me and on request signed the reverse of the cover. Restored transfer to cd with artwork cover and track listing.
Note that the cd cannot be purchased separately from the LP. Only one copy available.
On receipt of your album and cd the high resolution 24-bit 96kHz FLAC files will be made available and a link sent to download the files FREE OF CHARGE but ONLY if you state you require them AT TIME OF PURCHASE (they will not be available at a later date unless you do).
Buy with confidence from a trusted UK seller. Note to International buyers: Cost of postage and speed of service is governed by eBay and therefore out of my control. The item is sent to their UK shipping address for forwarding on to you.
