Description: Up for sale is a holy grail of hip-hop history: a genuine US Original 1987 1st Pressing Vinyl LP of Boogie Down Productions' ground-breaking debut album "Criminal Minded", released on the independent B-Boy Records (Cat# BB 4787 JBM).

This album is widely considered one of the most influential rap records ever recorded. Driven by the fierce, unmatched lyricism of KRS-One and the pioneering, raw sample production of the late great DJ Scott La Rock, "Criminal Minded" defined the bridge wars era and set the definitive blueprint for East Coast hardcore boom-bap. Features legendary, foundational tracks like "South-Bronx", "The Bridge Is Over", "Poetry", and "My 9mm Goes Bang".

This highly coveted first pressing features the iconic original gold/bronze labels illustrated with a background boombox line drawing and the classic bottom warning label reading: "This Product Has Anti Duplication Detection Devices."

  • Vinyl Condition: VG+ (Very Good Plus) — Brilliant, clean, high-gloss wax surfaces showing only minimal, faint hair-thin handling marks from sleeve removal. The gold/bronze labels are pristine, completely free of any spindle wear or ink writing. Plays amazingly well with heavy, raw analog punch.

  • Cover Condition: VG+ (Very Good Plus) — The jacket is exceptionally well-preserved under its original partial factory shrink wrap. Corners are firm and straight, and the graphics remain deep and rich. Only minimal vintage edge storage rubbing where the shrink is open, as captured in the photos.
