Album: Ananda Shankar & His Music
Indian Psych Funk Ananda Shankar & His Music - Original Indian Pressing
EX Condition.
Original pressing of Anada Shankar's most funky & psychedelic recording. What do I need to say? An absolutely amazing record, absorbingly intense all the way hrough. Experience the devastating impact of the original vinyl!
One of the absolute essentialities of Indian crossover records, this second LP by Ananda Shankar holds up incredible sounds and not one second wasted. There are tight, almost suspensive rock tunes, great wild use of moog, fantastic sitar psych, achingly beautiful melodies and mind-melting sitar psychedelia; it's as if he recorded the album for those who could ask for anything and everything concerning exciting rock sounds from India! Incredible album.
Ananda Shankar needs no fresh introduction. Since his first L.P- recorded abroad a couple of years ago, he has dominated the local music scene experimenting, breaking traditions and establishing style two creat new sounds, weaving new patterns. His music is full of surprises. 'My music represents the present age' says Ananda Shankar. '' music is the field where the younger generation can unite and work in harmony to create a melodious little world, all their own-where they and their listeneres can find solace, Peace and joy''.
A truly fantastic album by Ananda Shankar and a total stunner!!! First side of the LP is killer Indian funk with amazing rock band and sitar concept -- hair raising, ear-twitching superb Indian funk. On side B Ananda Shankar shows a much more psychedelic side of his music which would stand anyone in this field of music with shame -- absolutely mind melting sitar psych!
This is a very nice sounding copy.
