Description

RARE Bold Untitled orange and pink vinyl 7 inch NY hardcore. Condition is Used.

UPDATED: I have been asked by several people to send pics of the vinyl to verify the pink/orange swirl. I have added several pics to the gallery. It doesn't translate very well, but hopefully you can see the pink/orange and white marbling. Roots Vinyl has pictures showing the pink, orange and swirl mix next to each other. You can see this comparison at Roots Vinyl Guide, as well as in the last two photos in the gallery. These photos are screencaptures from an ebay auction six years ago that went for over 300 dollars. These two pictures are included in the gallery for reference. Additionally, the description of the pressing history from that auction is copied at the bottom of this listing.

This is from a previous ebay auction and also discusses the pressing history. There may be as few as 10 of these in existence, but nobody knows for sure.

Up for bid is a copy of the New York City hardcore band Bold's untitled 7 inch release from 1989.  This was released on Revelation Records and was Revelation:11.  This particular copy is a rare pressing on orange vinyl with bits of pink swirl.  There are very few of these in existence. There were 1000 on orange and 60 on pink vinyl. Nobody knows how many swirled copies there are. Obviously it was in between colors. This is one of them.

Track list:

A1-Running Like Thieves
A2-Today We Live
B1-Hateful
B2-You're The Friend I Don't Need

The sleeve is in NM- condition.  The sleeve is in immaculate condition aside from these small blemishes.  Included is a fold-out lyric poster that has no creases, tears or signs of wear whatsoever.  The vinyl is in near mint condition with no scuffs or scratches.  Stamped in the dead wax on Side 1 is "R-12792 REV-11-A-SIDE BOLD 'TOO GREAT, TOO LATE.'"  Stamped in the dead wax on Side 2 is "REV-11-B-SIDE BOLDER 'R.I.P.' R-12793."  This piece was well taken care of and has not been handled or played more than once.

This is the best piece of my private collection that I am selling off after 30 years. If you are interested in other things, just keep watching my auctions. You know the kinds of stuff I have. YOUTH OF TODAY, BOLD, WARZONE, TOGETHER COMP, JUDGE GORILLA BISCUITS etc.

I will ship anywhere in the world, but that gets expensive and the buyer will be the one paying for it. I will be shipping priority mail and it will be insured for the full value that is paid, at buyer expense. It will come with signature verification. Shipping in the US this way costs about $25, and it will probably cost $50 more than that outside the US.

Thanks for looking and good luck.  Check my other auctions for a few other hardcore rarities.

UPDATED: This is more information from a previous ebay auction, regarding the pressing history of this record.

Description Here is the very rare Bold 7" Pink and orange Mix vinyl. This is a legit mix version that is unknown to most as far as to really how many exist. I have had all three versions and this one stands out against the pink and orange version. This version is far more opaque than the orange press. The picture shows a distinguishable difference between the regular orange mix. Also, the record comes with the cover and insert all excellent condition. From the Revelation Records Pressing info..." orange/pink mixed vinyl The color vinyl was suppose to be maroon, to match the cover, but the pressing plant couldn't mix the color properly and came up with pink. After pressing a number of the pink they stopped and tried remixing the color, this time coming up with orange. To make life easier Jordan just had them do the 1000 on orange so the mix was created when changing from pink to orange without cleaning the presses. The actual invoice states 60 on pink and makes no mention of the mix, so how many of the pure pink versus how many of the orange pink mix exist is not known, but it is safe to say that that there are more than 10 of the mix as was originally believed. What is more, did the mix of colors count as orange or pink on the invoice? So are there 60 pure pink and a number of the mix color, or are there a even fewer pure pink and a large number of mixed? To add insult to injury, the mix as been referred to as swirl when actually the pure pink, mix, and orange are all technically swirls. Bid with confidence, I will ship worldwide, Buyer pays shipping and insurance if needed.
