T Rex 45: Ride A White Swan / Is it Love & Summertime Blues
Original demo pressing on the Japanese Odeon label: OR-2762 (BUG 1A-S)
Matrix Numbers: BUG-1A-S 1S and BUG-1B-S 1S
Condition: The foldout picture sleeve has a few crinkles as usual and a corner crease, caused by handling. Otherwise it is as good as you will find with no writing or tears.
The vinyl looks unplayed and the label is nice and white, unmarked by the brown foxing that is caused by climate and seen on most Japanese releases that did not leave the country immediately on release. I should have graded this as mint but I only use this when a record is still factory sealed.
This record was the first Japanese release by T Rex, being issued on 25th April 1971, and is already very rare as a stock copy as Marc was not getting much media exposure and sales were minimal. Only a handful were promotional copies like this and so the chances of finding another is pretty slim.
I am selling items from my personal collection formed over 40 years. I am not a dealer so I know the history of these records, many of which I bought new at the time of release and have carefully stored (mostly in plastic sleeves). I have never cleaned my records apart from the the odd use of a record brush or cloth so they are in very original condition. If you have any questions please email me.
