Released by Bell Records in August 1970; cat # BLL 1121; this is “Oh Baby” / “Universal Love” by Dib Cochran & The Earwigs.
Dib Cochran & The Earwigs was a pseudonym for a band comprising Marc Bolan, David Bowie (on sax), Rick Wakeman, Mickey Finn and Tony Visconti. This single came and went completely unnoticed.
This stunning copy has been stored away untouched and unnoticed for well over thirty years. In fact, it was my mother-in-law who found it while we were sorting through the collection – so thanks Julie!
The A-side label has a factory sample sticker on it. The B-side label has some very light storage-related wear. There are no obvious spindle marks on either label. I have played the record once and I’d imagine the original owner played it once as well. There are bits of vinyl swarf still attached to the spindle hole!
As you will have gathered from the title of this listing, the actual vinyl of this record is in MINT condition – no marks, no wear – nothing. Just the deep lustre of vinyl perfectly preserved for 37 years. The record comes in the correct company sleeve.

If you refuse insurance and the record is damage or goes missing in the post, I’m afraid we cannot be held responsible and will not entertain any claims. UK record delivery is an extra 70p and special delivery is £4.75. Overseas insurance will be either £3.50 or £5.50 dependent upon the value.
Payment by PayPal is preferred for all customers; though I will accept cheques or postal orders for UK customers. Overseas customers must pay by Paypal unless agreed otherwise prior to auction end.
