After almost 40 years of collecting, my friend Tom had a house fire recently and has decided to not continue his collecting days. He lost quite a few things and has asked me to sell most of his remaining collection. Now THIS one hurts.....this record is by the late, great Bobby Fuller & The Fanatics on the Exeter 126 label. Why does this hurt? Well, Tom framed a lot of his stuff and had them hanging in his house. He had a very large framed display of Bobby Fuller. The fire damaged ONE RECORD in the Bobby Fuller display and guess which one it is.....Yup, this one. SHAKEDOWN b/w FOOL OF LOVE. Without the damage, I would have graded this record VERY GOOD to VERY GOOD PLUS but I can't grade it now. This record has some heat warp and heat damage to it on the edge of the first few grooves. I have NO IDEA if it damaged the grooves but it looks to me like it did. As you can see, there is also writing on one label. SO, IF YOU WANT THIS AS A DISPLAY OR WANT TO TRY TO FIX IT, I WILL HAVE A LOW STARTING BID. It's still a rare record, no matter how you look at it.
