Up for sale is a vintage original 78 RPM shellac record by Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys on the classic Conqueror label (9604), featuring two iconic Western Swing tracks:

“Lone Star Rag” (Hot String Band Instrumental)

“Drunkard Blues” (String Band with vocals by Tommy Duncan)
Released during the height of Wills’ influence in the early 1940s, this record captures the high-energy swing style that made the Texas Playboys one of the most beloved and historically important bands in American music. The maroon and gold Conqueror label is clean and sharp, and both sides are machine-stamped with matching DAL matrix codes: DAL 683 and DAL 970.
This particular pairing is seldom seen on the market, making it an excellent piece for collectors of Western swing, string band music, or early country & hillbilly traditions.
