Original "Zippo Lighter" Cover
Island Records (SW-9329)
Cover and hinge are still intact but I'll grade this cover a VG due to edge wear and creasing.
Vinyl is glossy VG+ and plays clean.
I purchased this from it's original owner (a local Boston Reggae musician) in the mid 1990's and it has been well cared for.
I will put up some more reggae from my personal collection over the next few weeks so check back.
I use Goldmine standard grading.
All records are examined under bright light and are often play graded.
I will make specific comments on imperfections in individual records that I have play graded.
When I know something about the origin of a record I will include that info.
My grading for vinyl records is generally conservative as I’ve been involved in collecting and occasionally selling records for almost 20 years.

Near Mint or NM is a virtually flawless record or cover.
I very conservatively use this grade and will often defer to VG++ when in question. I almost never use this grade for classical records.
VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus) – Beautiful collectible condition. Only the slightest of
wear, certainly no scratches or audible scuffs.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) - Great condition. Well cared for. Possible occasional "tic" or occasional small amount of surface noise in quieter passages.
VG (Very Good) – Still good condition, but more wear than VG+. Some surface noise possible. No repetitive “click” scratches.
