Comments:  Great White Wonder, or GWW, is the first notable rock bootleg album, released in July of 1969 and containing illicit recordings by Bob Dylan. It is also the first release of the famous bootleg record label Trademark of Quality (or TMQ). Several of the tracks present here were recorded with the Band in the summer of 1967 in West Saugerties, New York, during the informal sessions that would go on to produce Dylan's 1975 album The Basement Tapes. It was the first time that these previously unheard of recordings came to the market; many more would be released in similar formats over the coming years. Much of the other material consists of a recording made in December of 1961 in a Minnesota hotel room (referred to as the "Minnesota hotel tape"), studio outtakes from several of Dylan's albums, and a live performance on The Johnny Cash Show.(next paragraph) The album was nicknamed the "great white wonder" due to its original pressing's plain white sleeve. Newer pressings contain the name stamped on

The Johnny Cash show featured many folk-country musicians, such as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, Mickey Newbury, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Merle Haggard, James Taylor and Tammy Wynette. It also featured other musicians such as jazz great Louis Armstrong, who died eight months after appearing on the show.

I have been collecting records since 1953. Some are actually in like new condition, the ones I took to parties, not so much. According to my wife I have too many (can't help myself); house is full, shop is full, etc. and the kids have ipods. They don't want the records, eBay it is.

If a record has a deep scratch it gets deep sixed. If it has a light scratch and it is rare I will offer it but you will know it's condition. I will describe a record's condition as accurately as I can. If it is not as described I will refund your money after I check it on my equipment to verify your claim. I still play them on occasion.

Near Mint = Still glossy, few if any visible spindle marks or finger prints.

VG++ = Very close to near mint but with paper scuffs and smudges.

VG+ = VERY GOOD plus means it may have occasional light surface noise. Box or cover should not have excessive wear or split seams.

VG = Acceptable for listening but not a treasure, not investment grade. I will offer this grade on unusual and rare vinyl.

I do not attempt to remove price or promo stickers that have been attached.

Payment - I prefer Paypal but I don't want to limit your ability to buy. Just know nothing ships without money in hand. Contact me/
