The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan is the second studio album of Bob Dylan released on 27 May 1963 by Columbia Records in the United States. Eleven of the thirteen songs are original compositions evocative of tunes and lyrics of old folk songs. Blowin' in the Wind, Girl from the North Country, Masters of War, A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right are widely regarded as classics, and remain mainstays of Dylan's performing repertoire to the present day.
Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic wrote: "It's hard to overestimate the importance of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, the record that firmly established Dylan as an unparalleled songwriter ... This is rich, imaginative music, capturing the sound and spirit of America as much as that of Louis Armstrong, Hank Williams, or Elvis Presley".

The record was pressed by Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman, New Jersey. The run-out area of Side 1 has an incised matrix number XSM 58719 - 3BA 1 TX, and Side 2 is stamped with a matrix number XSM 58720 - 2AE. Both sides are stamped or incised with a pressing plant identifier "P", and "o" denoting Customatrix.
The rim of a red label features a COLUMBIA logo, two pictorial logos, STEREO flanked by "360 SOUND" with arrows, and © "COLUMBIA", MARCAS REG. PRINTED IN U.S.A. underneath, all printed in white. Track titles and credits in black are not centred. 
The front cover of a three piece sleeve displays an iconic photograph of Dylan with Suze Rotolo walking in the middle of Jones Street in the West Village, New York City. It was taken in February 1963 by the Columbia Records studio photographer Don Hunstein. The cover design also includes a title THE FREEWHEELIN' BOB DYLAN in brown and red, boxed STEREO "360 SOUND" with blue arrows, stereo and mono catalogue numbers, COLUMBIA logo and track lists lower left and right.
The back cover contains liner notes by Nat Hentoff, description of STEREO "360 SOUND" technology, track lists, stereo and mono catalogue numbers, COLUMBIA logo, credits and copyright and trademark notices. A number "1" lower right indicates Modern Album Finishing Co.
                                                                                                           Condition
The condition of a record is Very Good (close to VG+). The vinyl has light scratches and scuffs consistent with use and age, none of them is fingernail catching. It also retains its original gloss. There are no visible marks around spindle holes. The condition of a sleeve is Very Good (close to VG+) with some ring wear, slightly frayed edges and bent corners (please see the pictures). An inner sleeve is not original. A condition was graded by visual inspection and in accordance with Goldmine® Grading Guide.
