Description

An original 1st issue of NM on UK CBS from 1970. Matrix A2/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. We also have the original 1970 CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Lovely clean shiny surfaces with barely a mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A very paired down title from Bob - and this means a lot of copies, even decent ones, will exhibit a bit of background in places. It is exceptionally fussy...What you need is an extremely well preserved copy to give you a real chance of a super rendition. This one plays really nice and clean. Maybe you'll detect the odd isolated crackle in 'Time Passes Slow' & 'Sign On The Window'. A couple of ticks late in 'S.O.W'. But nothing distracting - these tracks just won't play quite as clean as the rest of the LP. It's literally as good a rendition as I've witnessed on NM. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) A difficult one to find in really good condition. That salmon coloured front was quite susceptible to wear and discolouration. But this example is in extremely rude health. Hardly any signs of wear or creasing, and perhaps slight light fade along the spine [but it look great]. Very impressive! The rear is looking just as good with hardly any surface wear, discolouration or creasing. The spine is 100% intact. Edge is pretty much absent and the openings are still sharp. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
