Description

An original 1st press of NM on the UK CBS label from 1970. Matrix A1/B1. Very heavy-set vinyl as only found on the 1st copies. Comes housed in an original front laminated cover - per 1st issue..with nice heavy-card. Also included is the original CBS advertising inner from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under lose inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. By an large a very nice player which delivers an appealing rendition. Not quite clean enough to hit the top grades though. Expect a touch of light static in a couple of tracks per side - nothing persistent or invasive. The only deviation was a few light ticks during 'Time Passes Slowly', again nothing particularly noticeable, or upfront. It just won't play as clean as the rest of the LP.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and it's certainly worth insisting on one of these 1st issue heavy-card copies. Lovely clean and shiny front with just a couple of light creases. The rear looks sweet and does not exhibit wear or ageing as you will commonly find. Edge wear is light and the spine looks fine. Text mostly legible with just a small amount of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing no splits.
