This is it. A true arty-fact. The very first rock bootleg ever in its original state. All white, no stamps, no inserts, just white cover inside and out, and records with plain white labels. Despite its flaws, it is still a completely viable listening experience. It sounds nice (although that varies somehwat with the different sources). This offered people the first chance to hear the basement tapes, and included some other unreleased stuff from sessions, to Johnny Cash Show, to some of his earliest recordings in 1961. For me, more than anything, it's a piece of history, a record that changed the market and first introduced the concept of the bootleg. This original pressing is in plain white and is the first release of the partnership that became known as the Trademark of Quality. Later editions had stamps/inserts, etc. Anyway, if you're interested here's a chance to own this legendary Bob Dylan relic. It may not look like much, but it's a beautiful thing in its rugged simplicity.
Note: 1st pressing, original. This has the seemingly blank runout, but upon long, painstaking inspection, up to five minutes a side just looking at it in bright light, I was able to find the nearly invisible numbers GF-001, GF-002, GF-003, GF-004. I think any supposed "blank" runout would show those incredibly small, hard to see numbers upon stringent inspection. It takes lots of light and different angles to get it to show. For those who insist the first pressing is blank, it absolutely looks that way, but INCREDIBLY close inspection will show those numbers as well—it's all one and the same.
