Description

An original 1st press of BOTTs on the UK CBS label from 1974. Matrix A2/B2 - 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original maroon coloured cover with the Hamill write-up on the rear [all indicative of very 1st issue]. Also included is the heavy-card catalogue numbered inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, and one semi-feelable mark which sounds [details below].  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. An impressive and assured rendition with lovely clean audio. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is very minor and infrequent. Expect only a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. The only deviations are a couple of ticks during 'Big Girl'. Then 3 or 4 clicks during "Idiot Wind". Thoroughly tested - it will play through fine, but do expect these issues. If you can live with that..then the rest of this classic Lp will thoroughly impress.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Very nice clean front which is only exhibiting a sticker residue patch in the top right - fairly innocuous. The rear looks great too with no issues. Edge wear is light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is pretty much entirely intact with all text perfectly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No issues. No splits.
