Description

An original 2nd issue of Blonde on Blonde on the UK CBS label. Matrix A1/B1/C1/D1 - same as 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue mono gatefold with exposed flipbacks. Also, please note the 1st issue covers are easily identified by the inclusion of the photo of Claudia Cardinale. Her image was removed from later copies at her request. Also included are both CBS advertising inner sleeves.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has generally seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, and then one semi-feelable mark which traverses half of tracks 1 & 2 on side 1 and does sound [details below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. By and large a very nice and clean playing mono. The sound quality is excellent as you would expect from a solid early mono copy. Across four sides expect some great audio and little in the way of interference. My only issue/deviation is a mark mentioned above toward the start of Side 1. It causes a click per revolution through much of the 1st two tracks. Which is a shame, but this album does span four sides and so there's still plenty of other great music to get your teeth into.
Cover (Ex) Very nice looking and significantly better than many original 60's copies that surface today. Front and back are very nice and clean without much creasing. The only thing I can spot is a relatively small scratch/scuff toward the foot of the rear [it shows in the photos]. The interior is absolutely superb and does not appear to have been affected much at all by the ageing process. All flipbacks clean, intact , and secure. Edge wear is pretty light and the openings still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex-) Little ageing. No edge splits. Bit of slight tearing around the die-cut circular openings.
