Description

For sale is this fantastic vintage vinyl LP of BOB DYLAN - BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME on CBS Records 1965.
I believe this wonderful copy is a circa. 1967 Stereo re-print of this album. It features a sleeve style (without flip-backs with laminated front and unlaminated back) that wasn't used in the U.K. before '67 and the die-cut CBS "Sound Of Entertainment" inner sleeve advertises the 1967 releases by Simon & Garfunkel and The Byrds and Dylan's Greatest Hits among others.
This is a scarce mis-pressing as the catalogue number on the disc's labels does not match the matrices on the dead wax. The labels are numbered BPG 62515 which suggest a mono pressing, but the matrix numbers on the disc have an "S" prefix which denotes stereo - which indeed this pressing is. The matrices on the disc are:
Side One: (Stamped) SBPG 62515 A2 Side Two: (Stamped) SBPG 62515 B2

Condition*:

The sleeve is EX, in really wonderful condition for its age. The front has very little wear to the surface, almost no creasing, colours unfaded and the laminated coating well attached. There is a small purple streak which is under the laminated surface so it must be a printing error. There is slight darkening to the L/H edge. The edges, corner and spine have only very light wear. The back is very clean with almost no damage or wear. As with the front the edge adjacent to the spine and the top edge have darkened a little from exposure to light. Overall a very tidy sleeve. The die-cut CBS advertising inner sleeve is in lovely condition and has been folded at the corners by its former owner.

The disc is graded VG+. It has had a reasonable amount of play but still has a good black lustre. Under harsh light it has several light marks on the surface on both sides. With one exception these do not intrude into the audio. There is one short scratch on side one that manifests as a click for a few bars at the start of On The Road Again but is not intolerable. This is really the only significant flaw. The record has been played through from start to finish and otherwise plays beautifully with only very light crackle in a few places and sounds really fantastic. Overall a wonderful early copy of this iconic Bob Dylan record.

Thanks for looking. If this item interests you why not have a look at my other listings? This record is one of a number I was lucky to acquire recently, all from the archive of a single fastidious collector, many of which I will be listing in the coming days taking in Jazz, Blues and more Folk including further early Bob Dylan records, Fairport Convention, Nick Drake, and many stunning rare 1st Pressings. Please feel free to make use of the "MAKE OFFER" button - I won't mind at all.

*Please note: Grading vinyl is a highly subjective thing. I am not a professional. I am just selling a small number of records. I can only give an honest appraisal based on careful visual inspection and thorough play testing. I do try to describe all significant faults and where possible to photograph them and I certainly won't hide anything. The grading scale I have used  goes from G to NM with VG+ as par. In other words: Good (G), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Excellent (EX) and Near Mint (NM). Anything better than that would be Mint and would be listed as new. Anything worse than Good I probably wouldn't be selling.
