Hi there my friends,
Up for sale is a truly valuable and desirable item, a white label promotional copy on Columbia of Dylan's "Another Side Of Bob Dylan." Timing strip no longer on jacket. Nice labels, word "no" written next to track one of side one.
Play and overall grade of LP is G+. I like to be transparent. As rare and awesome as it is to store this in one's collection, it does have a couple playback concerns. As follows: - One 'repeat' during one phrase on Spanish Harlem Incident "Got me swallowed." - Rough play on Motorpsycho Nightmare. Plenty of skips. - 3 skips on I Don't Believe You.
Otherwise the rest of the album plays real nicely and consistently. I have a real soft spot for this LP. You may know, recorded in an alcohol beverage soaked night, in just one evening put to record in the studio. These songs: My Back Pages (so underrated), oft covered It Ain't Me Babe (one of our best songs). And the deep cuts: Black Crow Blues (one of his only early tracks cut with just piano), Ballad In Plain D such a heartfelt piece. A soulful album and indeed another side of Bob after the ruckus and enthusiasm for his folkie protest persona (which I also love!!).
This album is legendary. Sung by Bob and strummed with his little Gibson Nick Lucas guitar in one evening. An item of an era and a scarce white label promo. I understand the inconvenience caused by playback flaws and have began the starting price based solely on value alone. Will ship with great care and consideration and safety.
