Description
Up for auction is a Bo Diddley "Self-Titled" LP released on Chess Records. Vinyl grading as follows:
Jacket: VG+ -- Jacket is nice and clean, light ringwear on front and back cover. Some light discoloration here or there. Absolutely no seam splits or fraying on all edges. Spine is crisp and clean and very legible. All corners are nice and crisp. Overall I'd give the jacket a solid VG+, probably on the higher percentile here.
Record: VG++/VG++ -- I normally don't like to use the VG++ rating, but I feel it's adequate here. Both sides of the record are extremely clean and highly glossy, with only the faintest signs of handling or wear upon close inspection. Record plays clean and punchy with only faint surface noise audible during some passages, never distracting or overpowering. Dead wax between tracks is typically very clean. Labels on both sides are very clean with virtually no signs of handling or wear, no spindle wear except one small 1/4" long mark on side 2.
