Blue Iverson Dean Blunt– Hotep LP  2017 1st Pressing Benji B Deviation Brand New OOP Rare
One of my Favs just a unique excellent Listen Brand New came with no shrink wrap never played put in an archival sleeve
yeah well for me personally its one of his most impressive releases. that raw, to the bone, jangling OG rnb vibe going on here, with those vocals, particularly that BASS, and the drumming, ... maybe theres nothing to get, only to feel. i been shaking a leg to these songs

One of many projects associated with enigmatic British artist Dean Blunt, Blue Iverson is an excursion into smooth R&B and funk. The project's debut release, Hotep, was recorded in Los Angeles with several studio musicians, including guitarist Jeff Gitelman (of the Stepkids) as well as vocalists Jennah Bell and Akua. Blunt produced and mixed the release, in addition to playing guitar, drums, and keyboards. The album has a very relaxed, laid-back feel, sounding far more straight forward than much of Blunt's work, most of the tracks are short instrumentals. Hotep was released as a free download in April of 2017, and was subsequently issued on vinyl by Benji B's Deviation label,
Roy Chukwuemeka Nnawuchi (born 1984), better known by his pseudonym Dean Blunt, is a British singer-songwriter, musician, producer and contemporary artist. He is best known for his current solo work as well as his previous work as part of avant-garde duo Hype Williams (with Inga Copeland), and more recently, the hip hop group Babyfather. Blunt was also the founder of London rock band Graffiti Island. He has been described as "a prolific, category-rejecting artist" and "an art-pop provocateur."

Blunt embarked his solo career in 2011, releasing a set of albums as well as several EPs and singles. His first few full-length studio albums, The Narcissist II (2012), The Redeemer (2013), and Black Metal (2014), received attention and praise from various music publications. "BBF" Hosted by DJ Escrow, his first album under experimental group Babyfather, was named the best album of 2016 by Tiny Mix Tapes and Resident Advisor.

In 2018, Blunt contributed heavily to ASAP Rocky's album Testing, with production and writing credits on "Purity" and "Gunz N Butter" and additional vocals on "Calldrops". Blunt's work on the album followed collaborative singles between the two artists prior, such as the Babyfather track "Benzo Amore". The pair have since collaborated on multiple recordings.
