Description

 This is a very rare classic album on the highly collectible Marmalade label. Details are as follows;

BLOSSOM TOES       "IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT"   1969

STEREO    608010

The record itself was bought by myself when it first came out in 1969. I have cherished this album and the vinyl is in really excellent condition. The original sound quality is perfect and there are no scratches at all on the vinyl. I cannot even see any hairline marks! One never likes to term a record mint, because the buyer may then expect a factory sealed, unplayed record. Short of this I really don't believe better quality vinyl than this exists anywhere.

The cover may be graded as good or possibly even very good. There is evidence of some ringwear, discolouration and creasing - but it is by no means poor, especially for a record which is now 40 years old. The remains of the original price sticker is present, but the purchaser could probably remove this if they wished to. The spine has all the lettering clearly visible, although there is a small cut between "only" and "for".  The spindle is in excellent condition.

The music is tremendous. I saw Blossom Toes back in the 60's before the album came out. Great band and they did a stunning version of the brilliant "Indian Summer" which, from memory, lasted at least half an hour! This second album is much different to the first album, which is more whimsical and psychedelic. Both are supremely entertaining and examples of British pop at its very best. Were it not because of modern technology enabling vinyl to be copied to cd this album would not be for sale - at any price! I am very happy to answer any queries regarding the record.
