Description
Blossom Dearie "Soon It's Gonna Rain" Fontana LP TL5454 issued in the UK, 1967. Mono. One of the rarest, if not the very rarest, LPs in the Blossom Dearie catalog. Blossom performs songs by Jobim, Bacharach, Jerome Kern, etc. Orchestrated by Reg Guest. Out of print since 1967. Never issued on CD.
Front of cover has a portion of an old price sticker and an approx 1" tear at the middle of the opening side (see detail picture). The tear is not severe and closes up nicely. Overall the cover still has a nice sheen and the colors are vibrant. Some fading and ringwear on the white back cover (see pic).
The vinyl is in VG condition. The LP is thick, sturdy vinyl as all great records of that era were. It plays through without any skips. Some surface noise and pop is sometimes audible in between tracks and in fade outs. I was able to produce a very nice digital transfer from this LP with a bit of digital clean up.
Labels are clean with the exception of a price sticker on the A side (see pic).
LP will be shipped with delivery confirmation (where available) in a proper LP carton and well insulated. LP will be packaged outside of the cover in a vinyl static free sleeve unless buyer prefers otherwise. Insurance is buyer's option.
