Description
Clean and tidy VG copy of Blodwyn Pig's debut album from 1969, presented here on the short-lived Island 'black block' label. This is an early pressing, matrices being ILPS 9101+A/ILPS 9101+B2.
Sleeve - VG- Rather worn along all edges and spine. Ringwear is evident, as welll as a touched-in tear in the top left-hand corner. The inside of the gatefold grades as VG+. The front sleeve still has the original 1969 price written on it - 37 shillings and 5 pence!
Labels – Ex Rough-textured. Very clean with minimal spindlewear.
Inner sleeve - New polylined bag.
Record – Visually VG-, light hairlines, 'squiggles' on Side 1 caused by grit in the original bag and patches of rubbing. One of the squiggles is just feelable. Playback is VG, clear and powerful audio, with light crackle and a few clicks particularly through Side 1 Tracks 3 & 4. Side 2 is much better.
