Description
Bliss Knapp, Christian Scientist: Interview with Mary Baker Eddy – pristine. Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Bliss Knapp, C.S.B., (1877–1958), was a Christian Science teacher, practitioner, and lecturer. His parents were students of Mary Baker Eddy (1821–1910) and early workers in the Christian Science Church. Bliss Knapp knew Eddy personally since his childhood, and she helped guide and encourage his career as a Christian Science lecturer. This historical, extremely rare LP was recorded by Knapp in January 1958. It contains two narrations: side 1, “A statement by Bliss Knapp concerning the implications of the Woodbury Trial” (approximate timing, 18:25); side 2, “Interview with Mary Baker Eddy, Reported by Bliss Knapp” (approximate timing, 10:18). This 12 inch, 33? r.p.m. LP, issued by “TransRadio,” Boston, MA, in 1958, is in mint condition and in its original plain white jacket and inner sleeve. The jacket indicates the original owner (the daughter of one of Knapp’s 1927 Christian Science primary class students).
