ARTIST: Blind Snooks Eaglin, Lucius Bridges, Brothers Randolph
LABEL: Folk Lyric FL 107 (1960)
TITLE: Possum Up a Simmon Tree
CONDITION:
Sleeve: The front cover is VG++ w/ bright graphics w/ some light ring wear and a little light other random wear. The back cover is about the same w/ some ring wear, a small name sticker at the top right corner and a record store stamp at the bottom right corner. Has a small top right corner bend, a tiny corner ding at the top left and bottom right corners. The bottom seam has 2 small pieces of clear tape in the middle and one at the right corner. Bottom seam also has 2 3/4" split in the middle, 2" split at the right corner and 1/2" split at the left corner.The top seam has 3 small pieces of clear tape, one in the middle and one each at both corners. Also has 2 1/2" split in the middle. The spine is intact except for one very tiny nick.
Record: Beautiful! Looks Mint- w/ just a couple of small light surface scuffs. I play graded this entire LP and it plays a fantastic Mint- / VPI cleaned / By the spindle hole it looks like this LP may have been played a few times.
COMMENTS: Rare & great original deep groove copy of this cool1960 Folk Lyric LP of Folk Blues collected by Harry Oster. Features New Orleans musicians Blind Snooks Eaglin, Lucius Bridges, Brothers Randolph performing on vocals, guitar, washboard and harmonica.
