Description

Blind Faith :  Self Titled   (ATCO SD 33-304)

First US pressing from 1969, with the controversial cover featuring a young nude girl holding a space age model airplane.  This cover drew immediate criticism on its release and was quickly withdrawn, making this first pressing highly collectible.

Blind Faith was touted as a "super group" and featured Steve Winwood on keyboards and vocals, Eric Clapton on guitar and Ginger Baker on drums.  This "one and done" LP by Blind Faith featured a wealth of great songs which resonate to this day.

Includes the original lyrics insert (not included with subsequent releases) and the original ATCO company paper inner sleeve, both in "like new" condition.

Vinyl:  Near Mint   (play graded)

Wax plays just shy of "like new".  A few superficial very light surface marks can be seen under bright light but have no impact on sound.  A very few "pops" or "clicks" are heard over the course of the entire listening experience but otherwise the wax is flawless.  A superb listen on this brilliantly recorded album.

The labels are super clean and bright, look like new.        (SEE PHOTOS)

Very light, trivial spindle marks can be seen under bright light.

Jacket:  Near Mint

The front cover photo looks "like new", with exceptional clarity and bright colors.

The back cover is nearly perfect with one exception.  When the jacket is held at an angle in bright light, one can see an image of a written name.  This image is not in ink or pencil but rather is a shallow indentation in the jacket itself, likely created when someone wrote on a piece of paper positioned on top on the back side of the jacket.  This image is not seen when looking at the jacket "straight on" but can be seen when angled.

Very modest rub wear is present at the corners of the jacket but there are no splits.

Spine print is crystal clear.

No ring wear.  No stickers.  No bar code.

Includes original lyrics sheet and original company paper inner sleeve, both in superb condition.

You will be hard pressed to find a finer copy of this classic LP, now nearly 50 years old, that is not sealed.  A real gem.  Hoping this one goes to good home.

My Profile / Policies:

Music is my passion.  I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll.  Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.

All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.

All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.

As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.

All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.

Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
