Description

An original 1st press of Blind Faith on the UK Polydor label from 1969. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original very 1st stickered gatefold cover. Please note the very 1st covers had a distribution sticker down at the foot of the right hand panel. You can see this example did have the sticker, but it's been removed at some point [brown rectangle!]. Also the original covers were proper sixties designed covers and the pocket on the right hand side was formed by adding a sheet of card to the front of the panel. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers - this really is a super slab of vinyl and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Please note this Lp does exhibit a tiny amount of edge wobble - measured at maximum amplitude of 1MM. We have examined/tested the Lp thoroughly and there's ZERO effect on the audio...I mean Z-E-R-O! Anyways - do not let this put you off because this example is the best preserved and best sounding example I've ever witnessed....stop and think! Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I'm not kidding at all...the audio delivered from this copy is astonishingly good. Whether it's the riffing guitar or the trance like rhythms of 'Do What You Like' only a truly low-mileage copy is going to deliver the goods in all areas at all times. THIS is THAT copy! No matter how low-key the audio goes, how trance like, how percussive..It's all there resolved with perfect clarity. Interference..pah! Non-existent. I'll do the usual catch-all..you may detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) A total pain in the derriere to find in top condition. But this example acquits itself admirably and looks way better than most examples that surface. The front exhibits just a touch of very light handling and one light indentation. The rear is equally good with no crease and hardly anywhere. The interior shows nothing more than a touch of light ageing - as is almost obligatory with this title. The position of the distribution sticker is given away by the brown rectangle on the right panel - remember, this is your proof of absolute 1st press. For this title edge wear is quite light. It's not excessive anywhere really and the spine just has a light amount - not bad at all. Please note all text on the spine is legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a fantastic original example.
