Paul Burger was cello first prize at the Strasbourg Conservatory directed by Guy Ropartz! Paul Burger was Guy Fallot 's cello teacher at the Lausanne conservatory !!!!He also was the first solo cello at the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (Ansermet) .Burger studied with  Otto Urak (Berlin), JULES LOEB.

Jacqueline Blancard recorded the Ravel piano concertos with Ansermet and OSR .
