Description

For auction is the 1958 Anthology Series, entitled "The Hard Swing," with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, the Elmo Hope Quintet, the Chet Baker Quintet, the Pepper Adams Quintet, and the Jack Sheldon Quintet. On World Pacfic JWC-508, MONO, DG, 1958.

SOUND: NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Absolutely breathtaking! One frantic bop performance after another!

VINYL: NM

Visually, the vinyl is stunning. Glossy, clean, un-marked, un-scuffed, un-smudged.

COVER: VG+

The cover is very nice. The top edge and spine are solid with minor wear, the bottom edge is a little more worn, with the beginning of splits. Three corners are good with minor wear, while the top right is a little bumped. The front and back covers are clean, with minimal, routine wear and aging. There is a tiny but of writing on the rear track list.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

Near Mint vinyl, awesome performances. No reserve, bidding starts at $10.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
