Description

Here is your opportunity to own the legendary Master of Reality album from Black Sabbath.  This was the third studio album from Black Sabbath.  This album is held in high regard by many fans and critics alike.  Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Master of Reality number 298 out of the top 500 albums of all time.  This album is truly one of Black Sabbath's best.  If you have never heard this album, you owe to yourself to hear it on vinyl.  This LP is the very first error pressing on Warner Brothers Records from 1971.  Only the very first pressing has Masters instead of Master of Reality on both sides of the LP label.  Side one of the LP label also has The Hauting listed as a track, that does not exist.  Side two of the LP label has Step Up and Deathmask listed as tracks contained on the LP, that actually do not exist.  This particular LP has BS-2562 39928-2 as the matrix number etched in the dead wax, on side one.  Side two of the LP has BS-2562 39929-1 etched on the dead wax.  Both sides of the dead wax also have the artisan stamper on them.  The stamper is two drumsticks over a drum.  Artisan mastered some of the best albums of the early 1970's in L.A.  The vinyl is in Very Good Plus/Very Good condition.  Each side of the LP has a fair number of hairline scratches and paper scuffs.  Side two has a few more blemishes than side one.  The blemishes have very little affect on the playback.  The playback is Very Good Plus or better.  The LP labels have a couple very light spindle marks on each side.  Side one of the LP label has a slightly more noticeable spindle mark as well.  This album also includes the original Warner Brothers inner sleeve.  The inner sleeve is in great condition.  The embossed LP cover is in Very Good Condition.  The album cover has some ring wear/rub wear that is noticeable on the front and the back.  The spine has a small amount of wear/deterioration.  The B and S in the catalog number have wear lines and also the T in Sabbath has been mostly worn away.  The spine is completely legible save for the missing T in Sabbath and the worn B in the catalog number.  The middle of the spine also has some paper deterioration that is a little longer than 1 inch.  The top and bottom seams have a fair amount of wear and some of black embossed paper has deteriorated.  The opening edge seam also has similar wear.  All of the seams are very tight and completely intact.  The spine also has a few crease lines that originate from the outer edge.  All four corners have some rounding and small creases.  This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve.  The album jacket will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve.  The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts.  The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped.  This album is ready for playing or storage.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I do not ship outside of the United States.  I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Please bid with confidence.
