π WHAT IS A TEST PRESSING?
Test pressings are the very first vinyl records made at the pressing plant, sent to band members, producers, or record labels to check sound quality before mass production. They are often unlabelled or carry plain, handwritten, or factory labels β and are limited to a handful of copies. For collectors, these are true artefacts of music history.
An unmissable chance to own a test pressing of one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time β Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath. This is not a standard retail version β this is a genuine test pressing, extremely rare, and made only in tiny numbers for internal approval before the album was released to the public.
Offered here is a complete set of rare vinyl test pressings for the Vol. 4 Super Deluxe 5LP edition β featuring remastered audio, unreleased outtakes, and a full 1973 live performance β all as test pressings.
