Description
An original 1st press of Sabotage on the UK Nems label from 1975. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. Etching 'Sterling'. The labels are consistent with very 1st press and mention 'NEMS Records & Tapes'. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured Robert Stace cover. Also included is the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Wow, Sabbath were still knocking out some great music in '75 as this LP is testament to. Very nice clean audio whether that's in the sections with heavy riffing guitar or with the more laid back acoustic funky passages. A storming rendition with little to complain at. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments.
Cover (Ex-) Beautiful clean cover with little signs of ageing. Front and back seem to be in very nice order with only some light handling in a couple of spots. Edge wear is very light for this title with just the lightest touch along bottom edge - that's all. The spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Light touch of ageing. No splits or markings.
