But those original 1st Vertigo copies of Paranoid are hellishly expensive - particularly if you want a nicely preserved copy.....But, hey, there is another way. In '73 Sabbath signed briefly to WWA and there are some very decent pressings to be had on this label. Particularly if you can find the early ones from '73. Some of which will have the original VERTIGO pressing info in the deadwax [2/2 6360011 - see extreme left of 1st label pic]. They're only three years behind the 1st copies and having the same credentials as the last Vertigo pressings is a big win. The WWA logo is in grey - and NOT white [confirming '73]. The vinyl comes housed in an original Deluxe gatefold laminated cover. We also have an original Vertigo inner from the time - the intention is to help replicate the original aesthetic of the 1st release.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few superficial marks per side, and one superficial trail - nothing heavy that will impact on the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with just a couple of minor deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A really super little player - more than capable of dishing out the heavy riffing of Sabbath. It plays really clean into CARAVAN - which is an incredibly fussy track. I'd love to say quite a few copies can play Caravan like this - but playing like this is very much the exception to the norm. Nothing worse than a few minor crackles in one spot per side. I also detected  a couple of isolated clicks in Doom. Maybe a couple of minor ticks in one other spot. Love the album - love this pressing. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex) Lovely shiny front and rear - there's a couple of miniscule indentations, but that's all really. The overall aesthetic is preserved well with really nice deep blacks. The interior looks superb - no wear or ageing at all.. just one very minor blemish. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings still sharp. The spine is not worn and the text is legible - it has fold crease running down it [due to the process of manufacture this would be present on all copies from this period]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very very fine specimen.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
