- DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath- Paranoid LP. Complete, original 1st UK pressing with big swirl labels, matt gate-fold sleeve with Big Bear Jim Simpson credits, correct swirl inner dated 0470 and correct earliest/lowest matrix and stampers. 1Y//1?420 1 2 1 and 2Y//1?420 1 1 1. Basically this is the complete and original 1st Big Bear issue with correct sleeve, vinyl and inner. Postage cost includes insurance, tracking and a box/cruciform mailer. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. I only use Royal Mail. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo 6360 011: YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER):VG/VG. Vinyl is clean with a fair few hairlines and brushing lines. Played all of this this morning on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Music is loud and prominent and plays through easily without jumps or sticks. On side 1 "War Pigs", "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" play though clean, clean and loud, without fault. "Planet Caravan" has some light ticks but the music is still really loud and prominent. On side 2 "Electric Funeral" plays through very nicely, clear and loud. "Hand Of Doom" has ticks in the quietest passages/verses until the music builds. "Rat Salad" plays through fine. "Fairies Wear Boots" has a couple of isolated ticks in the first few minutes. Matt cover is in decent shape, possibly slightly better better than average. It retains great shape, is firm and square and has moderate edge wear, moderate corner wear and only light creasing. Tilted to the light you can see some foxing spots on the black print. Good shape retained to fully legible spine. Clean inside of gate fold. Original swirl inner is in decent condition with light-ish wear and yellowing, no splits and fully attached poly. Clean labels- just check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. 100% original and complete 1st UK press. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
