Description
A 1st pressing of SBS on the UK WWA label from 1973. Matrix 1/1. Please note 1st issues show the logo in silver - later reissues all use white [and the labels are flat - not ridged]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Importantly first issue covers do not credit the printer on the rear and the image in the interior stretches right to the covers edge [i.e. it is not cropped]. Also included is the original inner sleeve with lyrics and credits. 100% original and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has clearly has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and only occasional minor interference. We only detected a touch of light static in the odd place and only consistently in FLUFF, and even this is relatively minor [and very common]. A very nice little player indeed.
Cover (Ex-) A truly difficult cover to find in top condition as both front and rear are very very susceptible to ageing and/or wear. This copy, however, still remains in very fine form. That iconic front cover is in great condition with only light handling wear - much better than most examples. The rear is exhibiting a bit of ageing, but nothing like what the average copy looks like these days. Edge wear is minimal and the spine is pretty much totally intact. The interior is immaculate and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine example indeed. Please note that there's a name written on the rear right at the top.
Inner (Ex+) Incredible condition. I don't recall ever seeing one quite this good. No ageing at all. No seam splits. It looks pretty much 'as new'.
