Black Sabbath 1st press OZ LP Master of reality VG+ ’71 Vertigo Swirl Embossed
Original 1st Press OZ LP released in 1971 on the Vertigo Swirl label. Cat: 6360050. Features gloss embossed cover. The shortest album of Black Sabbath's glory years, Master of Reality is also their most sonically influential work. Here Tony Iommi began to experiment with tuning his guitar down three half-steps to C#, producing a sound that was darker, deeper, and sludgier than anything they'd yet committed to record. (This trick was still being copied 25 years later by every metal band looking to push the limits of heaviness, from trendy nu-metallers to Swedish deathsters.) Much more than that, Master of Reality essentially created multiple metal subgenres all by itself, laying the sonic foundations for doom, stoner and sludge metal, all in the space of just over half an hour.
Tracks : Sweet leaf/ After forever/ Embryo/ Children of the grave/ Orchid/ Lord of the world/ Solitude/ Into the void. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles most noticeable in quiter sections and end of side one and is in VG+ condition. Gloss, embossed cover has light ring wear and a few small surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
