Black Flag – Damaged (Original 1981 US First Pressing with Rare Anti-Parent Sticker)

Up for auction is one of the ultimate crown jewels of American first-wave hardcore history: a true, authentic 1981 US First Pressing of Black Flag's monumental debut full-length album, Damaged (Unicorn/SST 9502).

This specific copy features the legendary, authentic "Anti-Parent" quote sticker on the back cover, cleanly pasted over the original MCA distribution logo. This sticker was created after MCA distribution chief Al Bergamo famously refused to handle the album due to its "lack of redeeming social value".

This is a milestone piece of music history, authenticated by true first-press Greg Lee deadwax matrices.

• The vinyl retains a healthy original luster.

• Under direct inspection light, there are numerous superficial surface hairlines, light paper scuffs, and handling smudges on both sides. No deep, feelable scratches or structural gouges. Playback will be highly impactful and loud, accompanied by some typical minor background crackle common on early 80s punk pressings.

📁 Sleeve / Jacket Condition: Very Good (VG)

• The iconic Ed Colver front cover artwork is bright and impactful. The historical white anti-parent sticker on the reverse is fully intact, firmly attached, and legible.

• Flaws to note: Typical shelf/ring wear on the dark black areas of the jacket, corner softening, and visible creasing/wear along the entry seams and edges (please carefully inspect all high-resolution photos for exact edge status).
