Description

Rigby 1000.  I'm Sad/ Another Day.  This was a local band that I can't find much information about.  I believe they were from Magnolia, NJ which is 2 towns over from me.  The Berlin Flea Market is close to Magnolia.  I've looked through hundreds of thousand of 45's at Berlin over the last 30 years.  In all that time this is the only copy of this 45 that I've ever had.  I never scream "RARE" in my listings like a lot of people do but I'll make an exception in this case.
I normally give a visual grade and a play grade with my records.  In this case the visual grade is too low to be bothered with.  This 45 looks rough with label wear and surface wear.  See the 3rd photo for surface condition. Despite that it plays pretty well.  A play grade would be between VG and VG+.  It plays with surface noise but it never overwhelms the music.  Sound clips of both sides in their entirety are below.
More Garage Will Be Listed:  I'm going through my own collection and will be listing some Garage/ Psych/ Frat Rock 45's over the next few weeks.  No specific timetable so keep an eye out.
Save on shipping with multiple wins.  For domestic shipping each additional CD is 25 cents.  For international shipping I need to calculate based on weight.  The rate increase can be dramatic.  As an example an 8 oz. package costs $14.50 and a 9 oz. package costs $24.50.  That kind of jump makes no sense to me but that's the USPS for you.  If bidding on multiple items just request an invoice when you're done and I'll send an invoice with the adjusted shipping.
GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus:  My top grade.  The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear.  The record will have top gloss.  The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.
VG++ :  Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record.
VG+ :  The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG  :  Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it.  VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus  :  The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear.  For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade.  For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
Good  :  Very heavy wear.  This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale.
