LABEL: Strata-East , SES 19739, 1973 USA Pressing
CONDITION: NM-, NM
SLEEVE: NM-, Looks brilliant for it's age and design. Only flaws are some edgewear (minor) and light paper chipping near top left corner.
RECORD: NM, plays beautifully loud and strong. I play-graded entire LP. Some visual paper scuffing does not affect play. Labels are excellent, no spindle wear at all.
COMMENTS: A stone cold classic! Billy Harper's 1st album as a leader is as dynamic an opening statement as they come. He assembled a very unique and talented group to back him on his debut: 3 drummers, including elvin jones! Harper arranged, composed, and conducted the whole record and dedicated it to Lee Morgan and Kenny Dorham. Harper's liner notes are great too. I cannot recommend this album enough. And this is as nice of an original copy as you're going to find, unsealed.
