Description

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted. 

Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I grade a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the eBay grading category to describe the cover condition.

  • This is a First Pressing of an Atlantic Records 'Commodore Records Series' compilation original 1972 release.  
  • Commodore original monaural recordings were previously issued in 78 rpm, 45 rpm and 33⅓ rpm form on Commodore and other licensed labels. These historical performances have been collected from the Commodore archives. Recorded between 1939 and 1944, these are the original Mono recordings.
  • Liner notes by Leonard Feather (aka Learned Father).
  • This copy has never been played.
  • The Promo sticker is on the front cover.
  • The gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows no wear.
  • This is a one-owner that the Seller got new in his record store from the Atlantic records rep. It has been in storage for 51 years.
