Description

This is Clef Records MG C-686, Recital By Billie Holiday, an original deep groove, black trumpet label mono issue of this wonderful record. The record is in VG+(+) condition (a strong VG+) showing light marks on both sides and playing without skips or distortion but with occasional light background crackle. A very pleasant listening experience. The iconic David Stone Martin laminated cover is fine on the front but the sleeve shows writing on the back and a split spine. The labels are excellent and show only light spindle marks. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. If you can forgive the cover condition, this is still a collector's grade copy of this wonderful original mono issue. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins. Thanks for looking.
