Description
Rock Around The Clock is the third album of rock and roll music by the pioneering rock group. It was released on the Decca Records label in December 1955. It was, like the two albums preceding it, a compilation album of previously released singles. The album was the first by Haley to make the Billboard charts, and was also one of the first in the new rock and roll genre to do so. The title track went to #1 on Billboard’s Pop Singles chart. Ironically, the song reached #39 in 1974 largely due to its inclusion as the theme song from the Happy Days television show. Nice first press copy from ‘55 here.
