Description

This is Riverside Records RLP 399, Bill Evans Waltz For Debby, a blue label, deep groove, original mono issue, featuring Scott LaFaro.  The record is in VG++ condition, with only a few light marks keeping it from being near mint. There is almost indistinct rumble discernible at the beginning of sides 1 and 2 and short random moments of  light crackle in the quiet passages side 2 trk2 (Some Other Time), with the rest playing quietly throughout. The original mono sound is truly luminous and transparent. The deep groove labels are excellent, with only light spindle marks. The original cover is near mint. This is a wonderful, collector's grade copy of a very rare original issue. I have entered a reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping on multiple orders.
